
BRONWYN HENRY
With 19 years production experience, Bronwyn has worked at some of South Africa’s leading production companies and ad agencies.
She started out her career in film production in 2002 at Reel Africa and Moonlighting Films where she serviced international shoots for 4 seasons. Thereafter, she freelanced at Kalahari Pictures in the winter of 2005 as Continuity & VFX Assistant on a 3 part series called The Triangle featuring Lou Diamond Phillips, Eric Stoltz and Catherine Bell. The series went on to win an Emmy Award for outstanding special visual effects in 2006.
In October 2005 Bronwyn moved into advertising production at Ogilvy Cape Town where she spent 7 years under the creative leadership of Chris Gotz. In 2012 she was offered a position at M&C Saatchi Abel as Head of Production for the Cape Town agency and was subsequently promoted to Group Head of Broadcast Production for the M&C Saatchi Group of companies in South Africa. Bronwyn has had the privilege of being groomed and mentored by some of South Africa’s most awarded and well respected industry leaders such as Gordon Ray, Mike Abel and Neo Mashigo.
She is well versed in executing and producing work for multiple broadcast platforms, shooting in various countries and working across multiple sectors such as automotive, beverages, finance, beauty, fast food and e-tailers. She has produced some award winning work across local and international blue chip clients such as Nando’s, South African Breweries, Volkswagen SA, Coca Cola Company, Standard Bank, Heineken International, Takealot.com, Yardley and Lexus to name a few.
Her most notable accolade in advertising is for the Carling Black Label “Be the Coach” integrated campaign which was filmed in a snowy Moscow featuring soccer legend, Ruud Gullit. The campaign took centre stage at various local and international awards shows in 2012 winning Cannes Gold, Silver & Bronze, One Show Gold, Silver & Bronze, Clio’s Silver, London International Gold, Silver & Bronze, Loeries Grand Prix and multiple Gold awards. Her most recent accolade is winning a Gold and Grand Prix award at Loeries for the Nando’s Afrotising TV Campaign in 2019.
With the ever evolving world of production she lives by her agency’s mantra that “Nothing Is Impossible” and there’s always a solution to a production challenge.
