CICLOPE AFRICA – AFRICAN FILM CRAFT AWARD

CICLOPE Africa is the first African award show fully dedicated to craft in moving image. Unlike other events in the region, CICLOPE Africa focuses on the art of execution, rather than the ideas. We truly believe a good execution is as important as the idea, and extremely determinant for the consumer’s experience.

CICLOPE Africa recognizes and awards the work of African professionals in different categories such as Direction, Animation, Visual Effects, Cinematography and Music, among others. After an online judging session, the jury personally attends the festival to watch and discuss the best work, to recognize the best entries in each category and a Grand Prix to the best piece in the competition. The winning pieces automatically become finalists in CICLOPE Festival, the international award show that takes place in Berlin, Germany.

In 2022, CICLOPE Africa goes fully online.
