Kabelo Moshapalo is a digital native and is responsible for driving creative excellence in modern marketing. He is a self-taught illustrator that traded his acrylic paints and paintbrushes for the digital canvas. Kabelo was born and raised in Soweto and has over 20 years of advertising and digital interactive experience and over the years he has led key DX (Digital Transformation) activity in all the places he has worked. In 2020, Kabelo was appointed to the Creative Circle AB InBev Braintrust, which seeks to elevate the standard of creativity and innovation across brands and respective agencies. An honor repeated in 2021. In 2015, he was featured in Destiny Man magazine’s Power of 40 List, which celebrates extraordinary men from all over South Africa under the age of 40. Kabelo has been a jury member at Clios, ADC New York, Lisbon International Advertising Festival, Loeries, and Bookmarks (Currently serving as the Jury Chair for the Marketing Panel); adjudicating work across diverse categories, ranging from Digital, Mobile, Social, Content, TV, Radio, Design, Experiential and Creative Effectiveness. His work has been awarded at major advertising festivals including Cannes Lions, ADC New York, The One Show, D&AD, Clios, and Webbys.
