Wakhile started her advertising career as a TV Producer trainee at FCB Johannesburg in 2003 where she spent nine years pushing boundaries and reinventing and nurturing her craft. She was mentored by one of the best production experts: Rachel Andreotti working on some top South African Blue Chip Clients like Vodacom, Toyota, FNB and Tiger Brands. Wakhile’s curiosity to learn about alternative new media led her to make the move to The Jupiter Drawing Room Johannesburg where she held the title of New Media ,TV and Digital Producer. One of her highlights at Jupiter was being the Agency Producer on an app called Democratic Republic of Design (DRD). This app showed that design and creativity are the backbone of an economy and it won the 2013 Cannes Lion for Campaign Design Indaba and a Bronze Lion for Design – 360 Brand and Identity Experience.
Wakhile Sithole has had the privilege of working with highly-rated industry leaders like Ahmed Tilly, Paul Warner, Neo Mashigo and Neo Segola – to mention a few. Her career highlight has been working on South African Tourism for the past four years, which gave her an opportunity to be Agency Producer on two campaigns called Bheki the Mbhaco Maker and It’s Your Country domestic campaign. She is a proud South African who is constantly promoting her country during her travels, hosting friends from Sweden, New York and Paris as a testament to her love for the country. In an effort to encourage innovation, alternative creativity and agile work solutions, her current CCO Ahmed Tilly asked her to head the newly-formed department called Creators & Prototypers – an internal creative resource to service creatives’ need to have a prototype of an idea before they go and present it to client. Within the first month of the department coming together, her team contributed and facilitated the Debonairs Headless Man Halloween campaign which trended on Twitter for five days during the 2019 World Cup.
Wakhile’s passion lies in championing ways of producing unique content and to contribute towards her country’s socio-economic development.
