Rajay is the soul of Director’s Think Tank. As the most senior founder partner of the Think Tank Group, Rajay is equal parts mentor, boss, friend, and big brother to everyone at the company. Street-smart, passionate and determined, Rajay is highly respected in the industry, with over 15 years as a leading Exec Producer before he became an award- winning Film Director.
Rajay is obsessive with his work ethic and his no. 1 priority is Think Tank. It is because of this dedication and commitment that Think Tank has grown into one of the leading production houses in the region. Known for his powerful visuals and sensitive story- telling, he is uncompromising in every one of his projects, and while that may make some people nervous, it means that the quality is second to none.
As a dedicated servant to the industry, he is determined to ensure that Malaysia remains one of the leading lights for commercial production in the region. He has helped his team to wins at Cannes Lions, One Show, Adstars, Spikes Asia and Adfest. In 2017 alone, Rajay won two silvers and one bronze at Adfest. Gold, two silvers and one bronze at Spikes Asia. While at Adstars he picked up four silvers and two bronze. At the Citra Pariwara 2017 awards in Indonesia, DTT was voted Indonesia’s fifth top production company before the DTT Jakarta office was even opened.
Rajay has featured as a judge for many international award shows including Adfest and Spikes and was the only Malaysian to judge at Adstars. He is sought after for many high profile campaigns, including Petronas F1, Malaysia Airlines, Sony, Guinness, Google and Mitsubishi. In the last six months, Film shoots have taken Rajay worldwide, recent locations include the USA, Africa, China and the UK.
Not only leading a successful production house, Rajay is running a custom motorcycle garage – Beautiful Machines, which carries the same belief that he has for running Think Tank. Beautiful Machines has won a slew of awards and recognition in the custom industry, and one of their custom creations, “Monster” has become the first Malaysian-made bike to be featured most notably in Yokohama, and international publications.
When he is doing non of the above, you can find Rajay spending time with his three kids and grooming his four adopted dogs.
