Markus started to release music though New York based label Sound-Ink at the age of 19 and has since remixed and collaborated with artists like Waddy Jones (Die Antwoord), Sibot and MF Doom (as Victor Vaughn). His Cape Town based studio serves as a hub for emerging musical talent and delivers music trend forecasts and music production. Some of his clients include EA Games, Google and Mars One. In his personal capacity he scores music for films and games. Markus’s collaboration with New York times illustrator Christoph Neimann produced a game called Petting Zoo which sold over a million copies and was called “absolutely fabulous” by USA Today. In 2015 Markus won a Safta Award for Best Original Score for his debut feature film Four Corners.
