Brandon started his career in the ad industry in 2001 – back when digital meant you didn’t have an analogue watch.
Before that he graduated from UKZN with a B.Com and from Vega Johannesburg with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Copywriting. He joined FCB Durban in 2002 as Junior Copywriter and was made Creative Director 10 years later.
He has won a few local and international awards – including Loeries, Eagles, Pendoring and Clios – all of which he attributes to working with a team of exceptionally talented people. Brandon’s Cerebos TV commercial of 2017 featured on the world’s top advertising sites including Shots and BestAds, and was also named World’s Best Ad of the Day and week by the prestigious AdWeek and AdForum respectively.
He counts it as a privilege that he has been able to help build some of South Africa’s favourite brands including Nivea, Trellidor, Corobrik, Cerebos, uShaka, Independent Media and more.
Brandon has judged at the Loerie awards and lectured at the Vega School of Branding – where he is also a member of their Advisory Council.
